New Breakthrough in VIN Scribing Technology for High-Strength Steel
As automotive manufacturing technology continues to advance and vehicle quality requirements become increasingly demanding, the materials used for VIN marking are becoming stronger and harder. In 2024, KINMARK completed a comprehensive upgrade of its core VIN scribing products, with major improvements to both the marking head assembly and transmission system. The upgraded product is now available as the new 50 Series.
1. 1.56× Higher Scribing Force
Compared with the previous 40 Series, the new 50 Series delivers 1.56 times greater scribing force under the same air pressure.
This significant improvement enables fast, smooth, and high-quality marking of both human-readable VIN characters and 2D Data Matrix codes on high-strength steel plates in a single operation.
2. Verified Performance on High-Strength Steel
The images below show the direct marking and impression results on 420/780DP high-strength steel used by an automotive manufacturer.
Marking depth: greater than 0.2 mm
Complete VIN marking time: less than 15 seconds
Clear and readable characters
Excellent marking consistency

3. Free Sample Marking Service
If your application involves high-strength steel with a yield strength of 800 MPa or below, we are pleased to provide free sample marking tests.
